For Derby Book Festival’s Big Derby World Book Day Party, I created a vibrant and playful suite of designs to promote this exciting celebration of books and storytelling. The artwork was inspired by the magic of childhood imagination, featuring a group of children dressed as their favourite book characters, gathered around a giant open book - a visual representation of the stories that bring people together. Iconic characters such as Cat Girl, Skele Bob, Super Ted, and friends added a sense of fun and familiarity, appealing to young readers and families.
My work included an eye-catching party invitation, engaging social media graphics and a blank colouring competition template, all designed to reflect the festival’s celebration of stories, words, pictures and performance. The bold, dynamic style and lively colour palette captured the festival’s energy, ensuring a strong visual identity that encouraged participation and excitement.
