Arts workshops for families and young people at Derby QUAD
Over the summer of 2024, I delivered a series of arts workshops at Derby QUAD as part of their Passage to PlayLAND exhibition. These creative sessions invited families and young people to explore their imagination through experimentation with lines, shapes, and colours. Using inspiration stations, we brought vibrant characters to life - characters that could inhabit the whimsical world of PlayLAND.
Participants learned to develop their ideas from initial sketches, drawing inspiration from their surroundings, to crafting completed digital pieces. We also explored creating bold, playful landscapes that captured the spirit of our environment. These workshops were a celebration of creativity, inspiring participants to express themselves and transform their ideas into dynamic artworks.
