As part of Newark Creates and Inspire’s Newark-on-Sea event, I created an engaging workshop offering a variety of hands-on, eco-conscious craft activities designed to inspire creativity in young makers.
Using sustainable and repurposed materials, participants explored different techniques, including weaving, threading, painting and construction, to create their own ocean-inspired artworks.
Activities include crafting colourful woven rainbow fish, designing eye-catching fish windsocks that flutter in the breeze, assembling moving fish that "swim" through the air, and painting unique rock pool pets.
This session encourages playful experimentation, fine motor skill development, and imaginative expression while promoting environmental awareness through art.
