Live illustration work commissioned by Murmuration Arts, interpreting the Nightlight Lullabies exhibition at Derby Museums, focusing on the giant mobile that plays Derby parents’ bedtime wishes and lullabies.
The artwork aims to visually translate the voices and music from the installation, creating a bridge for the Deaf community to experience its emotional resonance.
During the event, I met a mother who recognised the lyrics I’d written, "You are my destiny”, which led me to meet her daughter, Destiny, now a teenager. Inspired by their story and the lullaby shared between them, Destiny became the heart of the piece.
