Re:Imagine Derby, Pimp My Wheelbarrow, September 2024
Charity auction, sold to private bidder £200
Down to Earth Derby, a nature-based regeneration project in Derby, held a festival of nature, community and imagination called Re:Imagine Derby.
“Pimp my Wheelbarrow event” was a playful tribute to the infamous races that took place along the city centre high-street.
As part of the festival, I was asked to paint a wheelbarrow live on the streets of Derby within an hour.
The wheelbarrows were then auctioned with all proceeds going to Bridge The Gap, a children's mental health charity.
